1. WHO WE ARE

Magnificence Audio is the plug-in brand of Robin Klaver, the Netherlands ("we"). We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: contact@magnificencemusic.com.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY

Account and purchase. When you buy a product or create an account, our commerce partner Moonbase collects your name, e-mail address, billing details and payment confirmation. We use this to deliver your license and downloads, to send receipts and invoices, and to meet our tax and bookkeeping obligations. Payment card details are handled by Moonbase's payment providers and never reach us.

Activation. To activate and periodically re-validate a license, the software sends a device identifier (a hash derived from your computer's hardware), your account e-mail, the product and version, and basic system information such as operating system, CPU, DAW host and plug-in format. We use this to enforce the activation limit, to prevent abuse and to support you when something does not work. It is not used for advertising.

Trials. A trial requires an account so that the trial can be tied to you and your device. The same data as above applies.

Newsletter. Only if you opt in, we store your e-mail address to send news about releases, shows and products. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every message.

Support. When you e-mail us, we keep the conversation for as long as needed to help you.

Website. Our site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. The shop widget sets technical cookies or local storage needed for your cart and sign-in.

3. LEGAL BASIS

We process this data to perform our contract with you (purchase, license, activation, support), to comply with legal obligations (invoices, tax), for our legitimate interest in protecting the software against unlicensed use, and, for the newsletter, on the basis of your consent.

4. WHO RECEIVES YOUR DATA

• Moonbase (moonbase.sh, EU) runs our store, accounts, licensing and downloads, and acts as our processor.
• Payment providers used by Moonbase (such as Stripe, PayPal and iDEAL) process your payment under their own terms.
• Mailchimp sends the newsletter if you subscribed through the website.

We do not sell personal data. Where a provider is outside the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Account, license and activation data is kept for as long as you hold a license, so that you can re-download and re-activate. Purchase records are kept for seven years as required by Dutch tax law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for up to two years.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to contact@magnificencemusic.com. You can also manage your account details and activations yourself through ACCOUNT on this website. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. CHANGES

We may update this policy when our products or providers change. The date at the top shows the current version.
